Aviation Rooftop Bar and Kitchen

I'm torn. This place has a lot going for it, however, service was very slow. We waited way too long to be waited on, for drinks to arrive and they weren't even busy. Not sure how they assign tables, by area or evenly dispersed by volume? The views are great, if they pick up the service, there's no reason that place shouldn't be packed, particularly on a weekend afternoon as nice as this past Saturday.

I had a confirmed lunch reservation on 3/29 for 6 people to celebrate an anniversary. When we entered the elevator, it stopped us on the 2nd floor instead of the rooftop. I called but no one answered. I called again 30 minutes later and no one answered. I called that evening but no one answered. Why have a reservation when the restaurant wasn’t opened? Very disappointed and will not try again. Very unreliable.

There were not a lot of people yet service was mediocre. We waited way too long for cocktail refills, two people were served burnt french fries and there were 4 pieces of crispy chicken in one of the crispy chicken salads and 9 in another...yes we counted and evened it out. Location is fabulous and menus (cocktail and food) offer great choices. I think people working there need to up their game.

Menu is very small and unimaginative. I ordered a specialty cocktail, but was just a regular mixed drink. Not tasty at all. The restaurant was not very busy, but it still took about 15 minutes to get a drink. The outdoor dining space is cool, though it was too cold to sit there this time. Waitress was very nice, but it’s like the restaurant just isn’t trying very hard.

Food and service were awesome. My only complaint is that it was very dark outside. They had a small lantern on the table, but it was still hard to read the menu
