Pins on Lurline is an outstanding restaurant with creative and delicious dishes served with a warm smile. Every dish of the 10 course chefs menu was amazing, particularly the desserts. The service was great and my partner and I felt completely comfortable- rare for a fine dining restaurant. I will 100% be back.
Nothing short of sensational! We arrived on a cold, wet and very foggy afternoon to the B&B across the road and was thrilled when our host mentioned there was a restaurant just across the road. Didn't we luck out?! The food here is truly delicious, wonderful value and the service was so great. The waiter (a spiritual healer he told us) had so much personality and really added that wow factor that so many hospitality venues are missing since covid. I will certainly make the trip back from Sydney to visit again.
My partner and i had a fantastic time here. We had the 6 course tasting and loved it. Being more a drinker than eater, I was skeptical on the amount of food, it was perfect. The staff are lovely more arty than pretensious. Definitely return.
‘Pins on Lurline’ have refined their staple signature dishes to a ‘tasting menu’ $80 pp. We shared the six course tasting menu including: • Chefs selection snack (mini soup hors d'oeuvres appetizer/shots) • Seared scallops served with lemon gel, radish, spiced mayo and orange ginger sauce • 48 hour slow cooked wagyu beef cheeks, spring vegetables, signature jus • Szechuan kangaroo fillet, sticky ancient grains, fried kale and spring berry jus • Set custard, fruit granita, butter milk foam, fresh berries, lime sherbet • Sticky date pudding served with butterscotch sauce, house churned ice cream, biscuit tuille and liquid nitrogen berries The food portions have reduced but the quality and presentation improved. The inexperienced wait staff need to learn to clear tables once all guests have finished their meals. My partner’s plate was swiftly cleared as soon as he finished his course and I was left eating alone feeling rushed – with a restaurant at half capacity, there’s no need to rush guests who are pacing themselves through a six course menu.
