Royal China - Listowel

Had takeaway numerous times its very Hut and miss could be fab one day and disgusting another, also the delivery driver never seems to have change and never drops it back either last time ordering from them

We have never eaten here, but gotten takeaway on several occasions. The quality of the food is good, and the portion sizes are not small. In general, the speed of completion between ordering and collection is short (10-15 minutes). I have not eaten at the restaurant, so cannot comment on ambience etc.

Visiting Listowel for the first time in many years, I was astonished at the OTT price levels indicated at the local Irish eateries. As I had some international business guests, we headed to this wonderful restaurant for a dinner. Chinese menus tend to be predictable but here there was a very wide range of dishes on offer. We pretty much ordered a major challenge to the kitchen, but every dish was promptly served up, piping hot, to all of us . The service and food quality was terrific and we really enjoyed a super dinner. My guests were effusive in their praise and full marks to the Royal a beacon to the rip off prices all around Listowel. The take away service provided does take away from attention to the seated guests, so I think the management need to bear his in mind.

Got a take away recently from Royal China. Firstly, the portion of prawn crackers given was paltry. The spice bag was very poor and I wouldn't dream of getting it again from here. For such a popular guilty pleasure this restaurant is some distance away from what spice-bag lovers expect. On the positive side however, the we got were nice and the sweet and sour was tasty.
