Bidra med feedbackAbout 1pm after a long hot drive. first ordered omlettes, but waiter said non saw signs for salades, one of which just served, looked good, so ordered 2 salades. he said that dinner is not ready! we had already ordered 2 small beers that were drunk and paid. while he was waiting, he took orders from other French. I have gathered that he doesn't like English. we are in **** Europe, not true. a really shocking experience. you have to be avoided.
We made a few hours in lisieux a stop and after we walk around a bit, we got hungry and thirsty and saw this caffe and decided to eat here because it was in a beautiful location and others were there. so it was probably okay. we sat outside to enjoy the situation. the waitress took our drink order and we asked for the menu so we could eat. a few minutes later, when she came back with our drinks and the menus, a larger group of people came, and the waitress asked us to move so that she could sit them together, which was not a problem, except she then went on to ignore us almost completely. it took 20 minutes to take our food order, she first took her larger group order, although we tried to get her attention a few times before she asked what they wanted to eat. she got the command of my mann wrong, but was so fast away that we couldn't complain and we didn't want to wait 20 minutes to get the right food, because she was completely inappropriate to wait on our table because we were very hungry at this point so we had eaten everything she had put before us. Even when we tried to pay their attention, they ignored us again so that we had to go in to pay. I never had worse service in a country when I spoke the speech. I could have understood the rudeness something if we did not speak French because it did not understand us, but we both speak French and nobody else in the 12 days were in the land seemed to have problems that understand us. on the very bad service and the wrong meal for my man was eating only in order. there was no excuse that there were not enough people working because they wait a lot personal and there were not many people sitting inside. the only beautiful thing was the location and the prices were in order.
We called on a Saturday (market day) the formule, which is amazingly good at 10.80 euro for three courses and coffee. the starter was pate en croute (lots of it) followed by the plat du jour by blanquette de veau (delicious) and. a selection at desserts. I had the cream brulee that was good and my wife enjoyed a generous help from isle flotante service was accurate and friendly and it was fun to sit in the window and watch all activities on the market just outside. highly recommended.
The brewery pmu tobacco .to eat you have a slate board indicating the suggestions of the day and the dish of the day as well as a maxi burger fried at 8 € 80. you can eat inside and on the terrace.
The menu price is very attractive, but the service was too long.
