Bidra med feedbackNeighborhood restaurant down the hill from the apartment we were renting. Very small with few tables. I had chicken my wife had salmon. Both dishes were dry and not at all tasty. Portions were fair, prices reasonable. Only the service was OK and therefore I did not give this a terrible rating.
As soon as we entered we were greeted with a smile. We tried to speak our limited Portuguese and the waiter was extremely helpful with our ordering. The full chicken, fries, rice and salad were amazing. The chicken was moist and tasty and the rice was delicious with carrots added. We had the mixed salad and between 3 of us we were stuffed! It's small but worth the wait! Definitely will be returning!
The place is simple but nice and clean; the service is perfect and the food amazing: the most expensive fish dish is 14 euros and it's delicious, I suggest to share it because it's quite a lot. I had dinner there 3 times and tried different things: the fish was always fresh, good and well cooked.
We ate at Restaurante Quionga nearly every night. It is a simple grill restaurant offering fish, pork, beef and chicken. The meals were very reasonably priced and very tasty as was the beer and wine. Although we spoke little Portuguese (other than please and thank you) and the waiters spoke little English we were treated very well and welcomed after our second visit as old friends. The long queue of customers for takeaways and the full tables were a testament to the quality of the food and the reasonableness of the prices. This was real Lisbon (not tourist Lisbon) and if that is what you want to experience I can heartily recommend it....Thank you Restaurante Quionga for your wonderful hospitality, food, beer and wine......
Great little place on the corner! Wonderful service, staff friendly and accommodating. Food is delicious! You wont be disappointed by stopping in for a bite.
