O Boteco Da Mafalda - Lisboa

The menu was creative and everything we had was absolutely delicious. I appreciated the healthy and vegetarian options, but there were excellent meat options for those so inclined! I also highly recommend the sangria.

A little gem. Vegan speciality. Passionate chef. Extremely pleasant staff. Ethically secure. Only just opened. Really interesting flavour combinations. Well worth a visit

If you care looking for something out of the ordinary among the hundreds of restaurants, you are right here in this little boteco. Very creative menue, very kind service reasonble prices and delicious food.

I visited O Boteco with 3 friends, it was our last night in Lisbon and we were looking for some tasty, healthy food. The menu looked great, we loved the look of the Mexican dishes. We were seated outside on a slightly chilly evening and appreciated the blankets. The service was unbelievably slow and the staff were unhelpful. When we arrived, the restaurant was around half full. At no point were we told there would be a long wait. We ordered two portions of nachos which took 50 minutes to come, this was after chasing with the waiter twice. A waitress appeared and said our food would be 5 minutes more. When it arrived some time later, it was cold. We flagged this with the staff, who disagreed ! and said it was warm. At this point we decided we’d had enough and paid for our drinks and nachos. We spent a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes in O Boteco and left completely underwhelmed and hungry. The most disappointing part of the experience was the lack of understanding and apology from the staff. It was as if they couldn’t be bothered. I wouldn’t recommend eating here and I certainly won’t be returning should I ever find myself in Lisbon again.

I felt very welcomed for my first meal in Lisbon in this veg restaurant right around the corner from my hotel. I had difficulty deciding between all the vegan options but ended with a tasty soup, main and very fun desert.
