Bidra med feedbackWe found this restaurant just walking the street and looking for the bus stop. There is another one with similar name but different street so don't swap it. We have been the only guests but we saw that the restaurant was very busy making food ordered by phone for delivery service. We like Indian food and the food we had was similar but with changes in the taste very nice. As starters we ordered garlic cheese naan (loved it) and Peshwari naan (each Eur3.20), both cut in 4 pieces and they were huge and we had also traditional starter 3 different dips with little crisps (free of charge). As main meal we had Darshan Nepal Birya (Eur 11.25) which was rice fried in vegetables, prawns, chicken, lamb and spices, Prawn Darshan Nepal (Eur 10.50) which was prawn stew with mushrooms, coconut milk and cream with rice and Saag aalu (Eur 8.25) spinach and potato curry. To drink we had bottle of Nepalese beer (Eur 2.25) and tonic water (Eur 1.65). Everything was very tasty and if we would be in Lisbon again we would definitely come again. Staff was very nice, came a few times asking if we are happy and told us a bit about the differences to Indian food. The restaurant is separated in two rooms one you see from the street and other is more decorated like for parties or celebrations. There is bar too. Toilets were clean.
This is my favourite local Nepalese food 5 min from my place), I always just order as take away, especially when I have guests and we want to have something great and easy in less than 20 min. Both for the convenience and so I usually can have delicious leftovers the next day. Everything is so tasty, so you will want to order too much of everything! I recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala comes with rice), Garlic naan, Prawn biryani, Raita and their must have green chili dipping sauce if you like extra spicy. The service is always friendly and fast. I understand why its so popular with locals, as well as native Indian's and Nepalese.
