Bidra med feedbackThis is the perfect little takeaway if you 're looking for picnic supplies or sustenance to see you to the top of Stromboli 's eponymous volcano. I love arancini (classic Sicilian risotto balls) but it can be a struggle to find meat free ones so I was delighted to find they had them with spinach and mozzarella. So much so that I ate them twice in two days! We also sampled their foccacia bread and potato frittata. Both were equally good. With more and more restaurants staying closed at lunchtime as Stromboli enters the 'winter ' season, this place is a real godsend.
Sad to think people think that people thought that was a good or ‘the best’ arancino. It was terrible. The terrible Catania airport ones are better. Go get a pizza a little further down the road.
We had an arancini and a plate of fries and sat outside of the shop watching the people go by. Nonna was a genuinely nice person. This is not a restaurant but it's a good way of having some nice food on the go.
I had the ragu arancini on the go and it was very very delicious. Best I had during my 3 week August stay in Sicily!
La Nonna Antonia is a good cooker, and her cooked meals are delicious, plenty of taste and flavours, and her cuisine is a triumph for the gusto with their endless aromas; really nice atmosphere !
