Bidra med feedbackSo you can gather a visit to the old post office in Lingen on the marketplace in seven words, but of course I don't. So often I don't come to Lingen, but on 18. I was back in July to be exact on one of the summery culinary cycling tours. On that weekend Twist was once again our destination to let us pamper with the kitchen of the Backers family in their farm, the evening was again at least as good as the one described here:[here link] So it went with a friendly couple on about 80 kilometers from Rheine to Twist with lunch in Lingen. There was the plan to spend the lunch break in the old post office. First of all, the several dozen different beers comprehensive map, in which the Cider ordered by me also has its place. After the thirst of the four-stard group had been quieted to the cozy benches on the marketplace outside, we turned to the selection of dishes. There is a card with perhaps 15 positions throughout the day, in the evening supplemented by another small selection. It is placed a lot of value on regional suppliers and very seasonal cooked. Sometimes the swabs may also be in the soup pot without a bottle.......the two gentlemen agreed, a salad should be. We had a few afternoon miles to Twist before us. A salad like he should be, with honey mustard dressing well tasted. Whether it is necessary to be served on a dish of Filoteig, everyone should decide. The strawberries marinated with green pepper and balsamico were delicious and lay on the salad. In a seizure of sugar, one of the gentlemen (not me!) ordered a Panna Cotta. It was as delicious as it was served on fruits. Then everyone was tired and after a final espresso, which was unfortunately served too cold, it was allowed to continue on the bike tour. The service has on a Saturday afternoon, on the outskirts of the very extensive weekly market of Lingen (the Rheinenser is jealous when it is heavily claimed by the large number of guests compared with the local. That means waiting for a little longer. There was no criticism of kindness. So I can come to the conclusion. In the old post office you can go to the food and drink very neatly, and all day on every day of the week. Recommendation for Lingen. We'll be happy to come back on occasion.

Im not the adventurous type when it comes to food but I went here and was surprised. Food was great and so was the service. Great beer and they also let...
