Bidra med feedbackHistorically Hotel done up right. If you like old hotels you need to stay here. The room was great with comfortable bed. Bath and shower was great. The restaurant and bar area made the stay even better. Best meal on our trip and the cocktails were great also. Will stay again
I've really come to love visiting Linden, TN, and the Commodore Hotel feels like the center of everything. The staff is incredible and friendly, the food is delicious, and even the owners were there making sure everyone was well taken care of. The building is a cool piece of history and also a good place to hear some live music (not so loud you can't talk! . Don't pass up the kayaking tour if you have time, and be be sure to check out all the shops around it. I saw unique jewelry one place, good prices on clothing at another, and an art consignment shop that really makes the town soulful. If you're looking for a vibrant little town surrounded by natural beauty, go stay at the Commodore Hotel.
Clean, quiet room with accommodating staff in a historic American family-run hotel but with modern conveniences in a small town. We chose Sarah’s Suite for three nights in mid August. It was like staying at your well-to-do uncle’s house. The rooms were very clean. The bed was great quality. The room service was well done. The staff (on site we mostly dealt with a courteous young man was accommodating to our needs. We arrived in the night and he was there to open the door and welcome us. We were given our room with no delay. They extended our departure time so we would have time to visit church and have a meal before leaving. Everything was comfortable and homey. Some reviewers question the “hot water” but we quickly found out that in an older historical home you just need to let it warm up a couple minutes and you will have all the hot water you need. Our room was private and quiet. Friday evenings they have a special music venue which we were not involved in (we had our own activities but when we came in they were having a quiet afterglow with only a hum of talking from the cafe room. We would definitely want to stay at the Commodore if we were back in Linden! PS. We were in town for our son’s wedding. One morning our preschool grandsons (through our married daughter visited for an hour and we read them stories in the cafe. Rooms: Hardwood floors are clean (not like the carpet in a chain hotel that may harbor many unseen germs . A/C was excellent and clean. We had a small fridge. Linen was super clean and fresh smelling and was changed. We feel Sarah’s Suite was perfect for the small suite we wanted (Commodore has a lot of choices for you! Safety: Prívate and quiet. No safety concerns. In a big chain hotel it may look secure but you have this feeling of uncertainty, but you feel peaceable at the Commodore. Noteworthy details: So accommodating. So clean. You feel at home in a small town. They take care of you. We would tell our relatives and friends to stay at the Commodore.
This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed. No warm or hot water to shower in for 2 days. Windows were filthy and unable to see out. It was 92 degrees outside but inside with the air on felt awful and the sheets felt wet. There were missing shower hooks and bugs on the floor in the bathroom. Also there was an electrical strip when I picked it up to plug in my phone was very wet. Plus no ice which was much needed with the temperature outside was over 90. And in addition there is nothing to see or do there.
Had the vegetable plate. A big plate full. Good live music while
