Up-market Indian restaurant in limassol, prices were still quite reasonable for the quality of the food, portion sizes were good and the food quality and taste was amazing. Very different style of Indian than I'm used to back in the UK where I find Korma massively over sweet (not at all the case here, tiny bit of heat and masses of flavour), also we're several dishes I haven't seen before as well as a lot of the usual fare you would typically expect to find. Good example of this was the Khadai Gosht Beef which was amazing and the Lamb Pudina both of which were very tasty, menu sample in the pictures. Drinks were a little on the expensive side but in line with higher end restaurant prices (about €5 a pint) so that was a bit disappointing, they would sell more if they didn't try and milk the drinks quite so hard. The Mango lassi was fresh made and not too over the top sweet, I wish they had a traditional plain sweet lassi option. Deserts were also good, the chocolate samosa's with vanilla ice cream were brilliant (think a Nutella stuffed mini samosa) and you get 3 in an order which we shared, one is pictured below. We also tried the cardamon kulfi which I liked but several others weren't keen on as it wasn't very sweet for an ice cream like thing but was very refreshing. Service was great and the waiter was extremely polite and courteous. All in all I would highly recommend this place just on the food alone but a couple of little niggles they could easily fix to make it a full 5* job, like say €3.50-4 for a keo (local beer), I suppose I wouldn't have minded so much if it was just the import stuff that was more expensive, I was also a bit disappointed about the Lassi as this is the first Indian anywhere I have encountered but couldn't to do a plain sweet one.
India Gate wraps you in a cozy room in town and serves up a cuisine rich in flavor and local country hubris. Attention to the little things, garnish and sublime seasonings make this a truly special experience! Somewhat recommended.
I ordered online for the first time as I have heard the best for this restaurant. After trying over Foody for quite a while my order would not go through so i placed my order through their website. Sadly I was very disappointed as i placed my order and got confirmation 12:32 (with a 50 60 minute delivery time) it was already 13:30 so i called them to check if on its way. They said on its way mam and it 's been another 30 minutes and i called again. Finally received my lunch at 14:05 to be even more disappointed by the size which was rather an appetizer than main course. (lunch for One Dal Makhani) Quality was just ok.
Ordered chicken kourma... They sent a pork one.. I called them and they called me a liar basically said they don't use pork... Well I know pork is cheaper then chicken which is no doubt why they using it... Did not offer any kind of apology wont go back
