Hubs and I are great at eating traditional local food when we travel, so we were lucky to discover this place. The food presentation is very simple, and it blossoms with taste. They offered a daily menu for S13 when we were there, you can get the appetizer and main, but the drinks are dictated by the house. I ate Papas and Aji, and man had Ceviche. We loved it, everything was beautifully flavored and we were surprised the dessert (strawberry jello). I feel that this is the place where you eat when you want to feel like someone's mother has made you a meal. It is an unpredictable, ugly and traditional. The interior is beautiful, old school, the tables are very close together and it has a cool community feeling. We will definitely come back!
A small open air restaurant full of locals for lunch. Our waitress was pleasant and friendly as we pointed out what others eat and drink for our lunch. Sopa was delicious! Large noodles, tasty broths and vegetables. A chorro in our hands for the walk back to our hotel. I couldn't ask for a better lunch!
Just had a really nice late lunch here. I have the chicken and vegetable stuffed avocado and the Ceviche with the Purple Corn Juice... awesome. The juice was really nice with hint of cinnamon, although the stuffed avocado lacked something (spices or gloving) it was really fresh and firm and the veggies and chicken were nice. The Ceviche was amazing, lots of red onions and sauce to enhance it! Well done and thank you. You know the food will be good when it is filled with locals as well.
