Alfresco - Lima

We had an excellent experience here. The food was a whole series of Peruvian dishes. The service was also very good. Beautiful atmosphere in a beautiful location in Miraflores. Would recommend a visit to the neighborhood.

A restaurant to fall in love with. I have been there many times and have always found it delicious. The best value for money in downtown Lima, the best TIRADITO I have ever tried.

Food was good, not great and did not meet price/quality I was expecting. For starters ordered a causa and a cebiche. Waiter also brought us bread, corn and a fish stock. Dinner plates were a steamed fish served over risotto and a shrimp risotto. Like I said before, the dishes were good not great as I was expecting for the price. Been in Peru for a week and have eaten better for less. Wait staff definitely not engaged with the customer experience. They seem just as cold as the atmosphere. The kicker was when we ordered the bill. They were charging us the bread and corn chips they had brought us without asking us. When I asked the waiter why we were being charged for something we did not order, he immediately said he would take it off the check. He quickly picked it up and returned with the new bill without the bread and corn chips. My question is this: If you are running an expensive gourmet style restaurant, why do you have to use these sneaky tactics to try and make an extra buck off unsuspecting customers? Simply makes your restaurant feel like a cheap tourist trap where customers are taken advantage of.

We recently dined at Alfresco in Miraflores and had a delicious meal with wonderful service. Rudolfo guided us through the menu with patience and kindness in both Spanish and English. He was almost magically available to help each time we wanted to add to our order (which was needed as we were a larger party). He also shared with us how to prepare the peppers used in the dishes that we enjoyed. All the ceviche and seafood (with the creamy sauce were amazing and the pasta entree with goat was truly one of the best dishes that I have ever had. Alfresco will certainly bring us back to Lima from the US soon. Thank you again, Rudolfo. You helped to create a wonderful experience for our family!

We stopped by Alfresco about three years ago and really enjoyed our experience. Well after a few years delay (thank you Covid) we had an opportunity to return. Still our favorite Miraflores Lima restaurant. Great ceviche, seafood and pisco sours. We had salmon ceviche and a fish and shrimp cevivhe alfresco. Both great. I had sauted spaghetti with fish, shrimp, squid and octopus. My wife had nearly the same with sticky rice. Both were excellent.
