The Malt Shovel - Lichfield

The food at this restaurant was very disappointing. The chips and pies were burnt and greasy, the steak was not cooked as requested, and the lasagne was dried up with not enough sauce. The atmosphere was lacking as the place was empty. The only redeeming factor was the friendly service from the girls who served us. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

The food was hot and delicious, the ambiance was lovely, and the staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our celebration special. The service was fast and excellent. We will definitely be returning to this place and highly recommend it. 100% recommended.

This restaurant never fails to impress! The food is delicious, especially the mushroom starter. The menu offers a wide variety of options at affordable prices. The service is outstanding - even though it was busy, the servers worked hard to minimize wait times. Manager Teressa was delightful and went above and beyond to assist. The atmosphere was great, and the kids enjoyed playing in the park outside. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others. 10/10, you won't be disappointed.

Spent a fabulous night celebrating my 50th Birthday at the Malt Shovel. Its tastefully decorated and has a very welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious, really fresh and tasty, and realistically priced. The service was excellent, staff were wonderful and friendly. I received a birthday card and glass of prosecco from the team which was a lovely unexcepted touch but shows the focus on customer service. I've not visited in over 10 years but will absolutely be back very soon. Thanks to the team for making my night special.

First time we have visited this pub usually go to ye olde windmill but that has gone downhill so have started looking for an alternative and I think we have found it both of us had the cod and triple cooked chips with minted peas and a lovely tartare sauce and what can I say it was fabulous could not fault it went down well with a couple of pints of golden glow, service was faultless and the pub itself was clean and pleasant surrounding s and it was fish Friday so meals was only £10 each well worth it and I will be back
