Luna Del Llano Y - Liberia

After visiting the waterfall we stopped at noon. Lunch and service was wonderful. This place is magical and so unique. We came back and rented two rooms at night before our flight. Fantastic! We're coming back!

I was looking for local hotels near one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Costa Rica and how lucky it would be, I found Posada Llanos Del Cortes B B, a small family-run hotel/restaurant in the Luna del Llano CT complex. The hotel restaurant is an extremely short ride or a 20-minute walk to the waterfall. If you want a truly Costa Rican experience from a family-run hotel, you have found your stay here. This hotel/restaurant sits on a beautiful piece of land with a pool overlooking greenery with all kinds of singing birds and the occasional Howler monkey. It is a small B with only one handful of rooms, but the loneliness was all perfect. Our intention was to stay for an evening only as we wanted to travel between Tamarindo and Monteverde to experience the incredible waterfalls nearby. The room was spacious, very clean, comfortable and perfect for my partner and my 6 year old daughter. A queen size bed and two bunk beds were more than enough for our needs. A small kitchenette with a full fridge, microwave and kitchen facilities was shared between our room and the room opposite us, but accessible from our and outside our front door. The price for the night including an INCREDIBLE breakfast complete with freshly squeezed pineapple juice was just the pudding on the cake. I had found a real jewel! I spoke to one of the owners, Marielos, who leads the B B with her husband. She is fluent in Spanish English and was extremely friendly, friendly and helpful and made the best of our stay. The restaurant is connected to the small hotel is an open-air restaurant overlooking the kitchen bar area if you want Marielos to see her magic when preparing food. The individual tables shine outside with string lights to make it a pleasant place to eat in the evening. We should just stay a Posada Llanos del Cortes B B for one night, but after checking out the hotel we have dared to the waterfall and my family has the incredible view and beauty that LLanos del Cortés Waterfall had to offer. Unfortunately, my daughter had an accident in the natural pool area a short walk from the waterfall where she slipped and fell from the side of a rock and hit her head; something that could happen to everyone, regardless of the lifeguards and people there to help monitor the area. Our angel, Marielos, helped us with this unfortunate incident. Although I speak some Spanish, I am not fluent enough to express my concerns or find all the right information for this kind of incident. Marielos helped us on the way and told us to visit the best hospital for us, translation English in Spanish for us where necessary, and allowed us to stay an additional night unexpectedly in their hotel without hesitation. After Marielos's hospital filled with CT scans after the long stressful day, Marielos insisted on opening her restaurant, the OTHERWISE CLOSED THAT DAY, left her residence on her evening of rest, and cooked the three of us made-to-order dinners that were great in portion and incredibly delicious....Steak, potatoes, grilled vegetables for us, and a large portion of homemade chickens and ffinger. I almost cried on her gesture. It was incredibly hospitable and generous of her to accommodate us in this way. We welcomed them on our table after sharing a glass of wine and celebrating them and their generosity. A really PURA VIDA experience and one I will never forget. I will always recommend this B B B B to anyone visiting Costa Rica as it is a must and the waterfall is a must. The B B is also only 1/2 hour from Liberia Airport. A million DANK They are to Marielos and their family for our stay and their help. If I could give this lady an award in excellence, I would be absolutely in a heartbeat. We can't wait to return and bring our friends and family there to also experience this amazing place. PURA VIDA!

Perfect lunch after visiting the falls. The meal was homemade and delicious! The owners were so friendly and helpful. They even called our next hotel stop to confirm the address with them and took the time to help us with driving instructions... Time stops while you're here. Recommended!

Delicious food and beautiful location! Beautiful, beautiful pool for a quick dive. Very recommended and will be back!!!

Hidden Gem! Great food, fabulous owner! Great local joint to visit when you are at the falls. Had we known about it and the little hotel with it, we would have stayed a night or two. Cheap, clean and ample accommodations and the owner is very nice and speaks English flawlessly. Wonderful wood-fired pizza, burgers, and homemade brownies made there and served warm and fresh! Yum!
