Lomas De Barbudal Biological Reserve

It is free to visit and a simple ride from Liberia. Super friendly park Ranger on site to give instructions. We only made it part of the way, but had to go back because there were many mosquitoes this day. So make sure to bring repulsive and/or long sleeves only in case.

A little known park and a jewel. The long ride on a rocky road worth it. Should definitely go with a 4x4. There is a small concrete bridge that you have to concentrate during the intersection, but everything is safe. The hike is usually a route through the dry tropical forest to the waterfalls. Many hot monkeys and lizards! The waterfalls are warm and require an increase of about 3 m to get. Not crowded and was all free!

Beautiful park, easy hiking trails near the river. Also in the dry season. Many birds and monkeys.

We liked this place to see the monkeys, but don't go without misinjection. They were brutal!

Awesome trail along the river, saw all sorts of creatures along the way. Lady at the station was very nice and helpful but only spoke Spanish. Swimming hole is a must, swimming with capuchins over head is awesome B
