Lakeside Coffee House, Charnock Farm

I visited this restaurant for the second time in the afternoon. The food presentation was beautiful. However, I think the serving of four large cakes was too much for one person. I would have preferred less cake and maybe more savory options, as we only had four triangular sandwiches. Despite this, it was a lovely experience. We were given a snack box to take the leftover cake home.

I dined at this café which is located next to a small lake where you can also see fish and some animals like donkeys, ponies, and chickens. It's a popular spot for families with kids on weekends. The menu is simple but the portions are very generous. I really enjoyed my tuna cheese melt. I also had a large coffee that cost around £3.50, which I thought was reasonable. The location is fantastic and there is a pub nearby if you prefer a drink instead. Overall, a lovely place to visit.

We had afternoon tea for four people. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was both delicious and generous in portion size, and we were even offered boxed leftovers to take home. The atmosphere was lovely, with plenty of parking available in beautiful surroundings.

Large small place, it is busy most of the time to eat in or out, clean toilets, nice staff, playground for children next door and the beautiful lake to go around, parking again occupied but we expected this

We went for tea with Santa on Saturday. What an amazing experience!!!!!!! The staff were so attentive and the food.....well.....what can I say? The 1st cake stand came out we thought oh no, how can we make this go round 5 of us) sandwiches, cakes, gingerbread man. It was put in front of the 2 year old so she dived in. Then a larger one arrived and placed between the 4 year old and the 10 year old. We thought...perfect..just enough for the 4 of us remaining. NO.....an even larger one arrived for the 2 adults!!!!!!!! Gosh....had to take most of it home. The children got hot chocolate with marshmallows and even served the 2 year old separate so not too hot!!!!!
