Bidra med feedbackThe wine list is good. eating was not the last two visited. not true italian, more like whole food with pasta or dry protein, kale cesar salat with yellow egg based dressing and somewhat crispy, terrible. pan fried grouper, who looked very gray without taste. how old truthahnhaut starts to cook. carbonara floated in yellow goo and it was so good in 2020. so disappointing. but they wait very nice. they need a consistent cook and some more traditional food.
Chaotic environment where it seemed that the service team worked against each other. had to repeat/explain our order a few times. eating was quite good, especially the focaccia with fresh ricotta and the mush. sweet potato gnocchi was a little uninspired.
On a cold snow-covered evening fat one found reviews his way to italx in lexington, ky. italx is an elegant Italian restaurant serving modern Italian cuisine. they offer a large wine map and are located in the city center. we started with calamari. this was prepared with fresh inked fish, pickled paprika and a lemon basil aioli. the brot was light and perfectly fried. the inkfish was tender and slightly chewy, while the paprika was a bright vinegar-kick that very pleasant on the rim. the aioli was slightly sweet and sour, offering a big balance to the plate we also tried arancini. this is a fried fontina and Risotto ball, served with basil pistachio pesto and marinara. the sharp of the fontina on the outside was perfect. the risotto was tasteful, and the marinara was fresh. the pesto was good, but clobular, different and pleasant. my fiancée tried the butternut squash gnocchi. this dish consists of pecorino butter, calale, mushrooms and cipollini. the gnocchi was light and fluffy, but slightly drying. the vegetables were cooked well. the butter sauce was excellent and well flavored. I tried the Tuscan farro suppe. the suppe had white buzzing, swirling, celery, carrots and roasted paprika. the suppe had a good earthy taste, the sweet was well cooked, like the color. the buds were inconsistent. the half was fully boiled and the other half was a little under. but it was a tatsy suppe. for my entrée I had the marsala di vitello. the meal consisted of sautéed veal scallopini, mushrooms, cipollini, marsala wein and spaghetti. the wine, the sweet and the spaghetti were well cooked and had a great taste. the mushrooms were the star of the show. they were sweet, fleshy and almost fruity. I could've just had them ate. the kalbs fell short as it was a little hard and chewing, but tasteful it was good. italx offers several salads, appetizers, entrées and desserts. they have a full bar and offer several drinks after dinner like coffee and harbour. the server we had was top-notch, knowledgeable and answered all our asking. the fat one says that italx fat is approved.
The server was friendly and professional. but he didn't know much about eating in italx. I was told that the Butternuss-Quash-Gnocchi had no flour and was made from squash. that was not the case, so I unfortunately couldn't eat it by food restrictions. the waiter was friendly enough to bring me another dish that was twice as much as the Gnocchi court (which I did not recognize at the time because I was not brought a menu at the reordering) the halibut and the veggies were so salty that it was almost unusable. I like salt, but it was too much! the broccolini was not properly cooked until I had difficulty cutting it with a knife. I couldn't even finish the plate because it was so bad. my friend finished her meal before I got my meal, so it wasn't a great experience. I'm very disappointed. I wouldn't eat this again if it was given to me. my last experiences were better, but after last night I won't come back. it is a shame because I love the ambiente and the location of this place. eating, however, is not at the same level.
ItalX for Valentine’s Day Meh. Service was good. I ordered Veal Marsala. The toppings were burnt to a crisp and caramelized into a black goo onto the veal. The spaghetti was dry, like it sat forever under a heat lamp. I did not say anything because I thought they simply did not know how to properly prepare the meal. Then, after I finished, the table next to me ordered the same dish and it came out looking like it was prepared perfectly. That means they messed up and served it anyway. The wife’s grouper was slightly under cooked but edible. Then, they do not validate for the attached garage, but the Infinity bar does what? Anyway, decent atmosphere, good service, food not so much and no parking. One and done. Happy Valentine’s Day!
