Pollo Regio - Lewisville

I can see why this place doesn't have full stars. Every order had a wait. I'm giving it 5 stars because although we had a wait we were tended to and taken care of. Now that that's out of the way time to review the food. This is some great food! I had the half chicken special with the Campero rice and beans. I got half fried and half grilled and I'm torn. They were both great! I'm not a fan of corn kernels being in my rice but this was an exception. Nothing was too spicy everything was flavorable. Now to this mango drink. Omg try it. It's so good! I've included a pic to know which one it it. You get a choice with your meal to have a dinner roll or tortillas. These are corn tortillas. They're decent. I'm wondering if the dinner roll would've been better. Try this place. Not much on the menu so it's not too overwhelming.

After being open for about a month, we decided to give Pollo Campero a try. We were NOT disappointed. : We both tried the grilled 2 pc chicken meal. Though I ordered white meat, they told us my chicken would take a while to cook before it would be ready. I took the dark meat instead and they gave me an extra pc to boot (I didn't ask, they offered . Be sure to squeeze the lime on your chicken, it makes a huge difference in flavor. We tried the Campero Beans, Campero Rice, Yuca fries, and Plantains. All were really good! Our favorites were the Yuca fries and Campero sauce. Though they still have a little way to go before becoming proficient in their service, but we will certainly be coming back for more.

Best tasting grilled chicken! Low in calories, have lost some lbs. eating the grilled chicken.

The place was super clean everyone was really nice!! Our order came out pretty quickly!! And out server when really above and beyond in taking care of us!! Best service at a “fast food” place I’ve ever had!! Corn salad was really good, so were the dinner rolls the wings, the yucca and the sauce!!!

Well I thought that when you get good food it comes with great service? Well, unfortunately, this was not the experience that I expected. One night I walked in and I ordered a box of their wonderful grilled chicken. I walked up to the counter and I asked one of the hostess if I could receive a bigger piece of chicken. She told me to hold on while she check with the other staff member. While waiting, I heard one of the employees say 'Well, why don 't I just give her the whole chicken '. That was the end my visiting experience at Pollo Campero. If I want good food and service then I will go somewhere else. Unfortunately, this is off my list of good places to eat in Lewisville.
