So their coneys are super good. They are always friendly but last time we ordered food they charged about $7 more then the menu and taxes.. not sure why I figured it up using their curent menu and when my husband came home it was about $9 off the total I guess they charged $2 for onions... but the $7 I still don't really know why it was charged .. the foods good but not so sure about the prices.. also the harelds hamburgers don't really taste like the originals we had them every week when I was little not the same. But not a bad place to eat just watch the prices figure it up and if you send someone to pick make sure they know about how much to expect.Update after reply from owner:Thank you so much. We will definitely be back for more coneys. And understand new employees make mistakes, thank you for getting back to me you are good honest person. I will continue spreading the word of how good your coneys are hope to try different things next time as well.
First time at this delightful mom and pop old fashion diner. I thought it was a store that sold various dry goods with a soda fountain and I was sure wrong, but very pleasantly surprised today.I am familiar with the stories of “Harold’s Hamburgers” of yesteryear so I had to order their authentic recipe homage to a decades ago institution if New Castle, IN. It was truly inexpensive for very filling burger. I added waffle fries as a side which were cooked perfectly. I also chose a fountain made coke with vanilla flavoring for old times sake.Even though I was more than full I could not resist a ice cream soda with chocolate flavoring to go. Rarely do you find a true scratch ice cream soda these days. One of the two owners was working the counter and a pleasure to talk with. This may be my first trip, but certainly not the last. It is my new favorite go to for a sandwich or ice cream treat.
This is a historic general store/restaurant along the National Road in Lewisville. They serve great tenderloins! They have daily specials, posted on Facebook. And serve burgers, fries, onion rings, phosphates, sodas, ice cream, floats, banana splits, sundaes, and pies. Their tenderloins are hand breaded and burgers are never frozen. It's very small inside, only 5 bar stools at the bar and a table that seats two, and two outside tables that seat two in warmer weather. So plan to get your orders to go if there is is a crowd or you have a group!
One of best burgers served in a 50s style small and warm friendly burger stop. Great tenderloins and a great menu. Next time will dine in and sit at the counter on the old school stools. Plenty on the walls and inside to pass the time waiting for food. Which the wait time is not very long. Worth the drive from any where. Probably only seats a dozen or so. Not sure but just bring your wife and enjoy a real trip..
