Malai Thai Takeaway - Lewisham

Got the red green thai curry. Tasted great, good value for money, lady was friendly and bubbly when I called to sort out my address that was submitted wrong.

Very good Thai restaurant with tasty food and drinks, friendly staff, nice terrace, beautiful interior, clean.

I ordered food from this restaurant last Saturday and it is now Tuesday. To make a long story short, I decided to try it on a whim and ordered the Pad Thai and ribs. However, little did I know that it would be one of the worst decisions I have ever made. The food gave me food poisoning, resulting in constant and agonizing trips to the toilet, even in the middle of the night. It has been three days since the incident and the symptoms show no signs of stopping. I have filed a complaint with the FSA in hopes that they will address the food quality control issues or, even better, shut down the restaurant. Honestly, if you value your health, I would recommend avoiding this place.

The order was prepared in just twenty minutes. The Thai Green Curry with coconut rice was absolutely divine, it was spicy and came with a friendly smile from the chef. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant and I will definitely be coming back. Naz.

1) Ordered food 2) Rang 1.5 hours later to advise they could not find address (property is 12 years old), driver was still at takeaway address. 3) Repeated postcode multiple times using NATO phonetic alphabet. ALPHA/BRAVO/CHARLIE 4) Gave them instructions to the house from the main road (the manager was looking at a paper map and clearly very thick) 5) Partner offered to collect food from main road 5 mins walk away 6) Met driver and was first quoted £20 more than order. Driver rang and the bill was re calculated to £10 more than quoted menu prices 7) We refused to pay. 8) Turns out the driver had been given a non existent postcode, despite the CORRECT one being repeated more than 10 times 9) We had asked to speak to the manager who the lady on the phone stated was busy cooking...the driver advised the manager WAS the one who took the order. I mean how thick do you have to be to not be able to take a postcode down? How illiterate or hard of hearing would you have to be? Even if the food was actually delivered i doubt it would have been the correct order. This is an absolute joke of a takeaway. I wouldn 't order from here even if it was free
