Dosa Sambal - Lewisham

Couldn’t get a dosa but the cooked food was lovely and really tasty. Amazing value for money. Had to ask for a few dishes to be reheated again as was cold in the middle. Is a small cafe style place with limited seats, didn’t appear...the tables were cleared or cleaned after previous use. I would certainly return and probably prefer to get a take away and heat at home.

Dosa Sambal is a very simple diner and take-away that offers excellent Southern Indian/Sri Lankan home cooking for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian diets – I get the feeling that most of their business is aimed at the local Asian community. The curries, potato bondas and...other snacks are to die for, although your visit may be significantly marred by the idiotic staff who work here, and whose knowledge of English, customer service and basic logic is a far cry from the standards one would expect in this line of work. Despite the wonder of the food, the staff are responsible for the very low score given on this review today. Visit Dosa Sambal at your own peril!

Couldn't get the dosa as they were only selling the cooked food that day. Whatever we tried was good. Nice little joint for traditional food.

Came her based on reviews only to discover that they are not doing dosas as the chef is on holiday, unsure when back, and nowhere else in Lewisham does dosas. Menu limited as items had run out by 4pm! Nonetheless, good food (prepare for spice...hit! good value, friendly staff.

This place is a hidden gem great dosa and excellent curries you'll be hard pushed to spend more then £15 for two! Its more cafe style rather than restaurant so don't be put off just grab a chair, order and enjoy!
