I went here today with my wife and son. We were the only ones in the place. It is a bit less clean than it used to be and there were no condiments on the tables anymore. First of all, they increased their prices dramatically. A double cheeseburger was 15 dollars with no sides. My wife and son both ordered the hot chicken sandwich, I ordered the fried port chop plate (because they were out of catfish). The hot chicken sandwich 's looked good and they both liked them. The ketchup they eventually brought us was definitely rancid and should have been thrown away. The fries and okra I ordered as sides were good but very greasy. The pork chop was super greasy and otherwise tasteless and soggy. I took two bites and left it alone. When I went to pay, I told the server how bad my chop was. He said, I 'm sorry about that with no solution or consideration. The total price for lunch (btw, I had an unsweet iced tea and my wife and son had iced water that was tainted by the fruit punch mix in the soda fountain) was $50 for 3 people. I will never be back and recommend that you also stay away. Too bad because this place used to be excellent. I was on the hunt for Lemon Pepper wings when a local recommended this establishment. My son loved them. I wish there were vegan/vegetarian options on the menu, but the fried pickles hit the spot. I visited for two days, checked this great spot out for lunch. The fish was so flavor and crisp. I like my fish fried hard. The fries were very tasty and paired with both meals I tried each day. Day 1: Fish Sandwich Whiting) Fries Seasoned) Day 2: Zac Burger Fries The service is hospitable and inviting. The service was pretty fast. The quality of the food is definitely on point.
