Bidra med feedbackThe owners of Offham Farm Shop seem to have not addressed some of the feedback as nothing appears to have changed. I wish I had read the reviews before my visit yesterday. My spouse and I stopped in on a whim as it was on our route and we wanted a quick break. It is a combined cafe and shop, but there are no clear instructions on how to order food or drinks. We also browsed the shop and noticed that many items were not priced. Typically, this indicates that items are overpriced, which was certainly the case with our coffee and cake. I would suggest avoiding this place unless you have a generous budget.
We decided to visit this restaurant to support a small business. The setup is quite unusual, as the cafe is located within the same shop as the butchers, leading to a strong smell upon entering. We both ordered the regular breakfast, which looked appetizing when it arrived. However, upon tasting it, we found the bacon to be extremely small and flavorless, and the sausage lacking any taste. Given that this is a farm shop, we were disappointed with the quality of the food. At a cost of £25 for two breakfasts, a small tea, and a cappuccino made by a machine, we felt it was overpriced. Unfortunately, we do not plan on returning.
This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. I came for coffee and lunch but was disappointed to find a very limited food selection due to a "staff shortage," resulting in no hot food available during a peak holiday month. The cheese and pickle sandwich I ordered was subpar, with thick white bread and minimal filling. Additionally, the lack of chutney left me unsatisfied. Upon entering, there was no welcoming atmosphere and no clear indication of how to place an order, as the only menu was small and located on the wall. The large freezers full of frozen pies and cakes were not labeled with prices, adding to the overall lackluster experience.
First visit but won't be the last, great butchery, nice selection of pies fresh or frozen, good coffee, sausage rolls crisps, cold drinks and cakes for us all. I think very reasonably priced as we also bought pies etc to take home. Clean, tidy and very clean customer toilets, free parking . Only a slight criticism was the cheese selection but on the whole well worth a visit
Disappointed with the steak pie. Overcooked, which is a shame because I usually rate them highly. Probably a glitch
