The Wheelhouse - Lewes

Came here for lunch mid-week November: Good food, nice view, Chill Vibe. Many different seating areas, including outdoor sunshade, both overlooking the water. Everything that came from the kitchen looked delicious.

The first time in the Lewes region and we tried to find the best food we could. On the last day we decide to try this place and we sit fast, the waiter is fast, knowledgeable and friendly. The menu is surprisingly robust and the food was delivered in exceptional time. Portions are perfectly too large (the BBQ Ruck chicken kewers could easily be a duck, so definitely intended for sharing). The aromas in some of these dishes were surprisingly complex and pleasant. This is probably a well-known restaurant for locals, but for one from the city like me this is a diamond in an area with hundreds of good food. would have eaten here every day if I had known better during my stay.

The food was EXCELLENT!! nice friendly staff. Great crabcake and limecake? Children really enjoyed the Mac n cheese and corn dogs?. Good atmosphere. Would you come back?

We ate in the wheelhouse today. We were sitting 10 minutes after we arrived, and the place was pretty crucified. The food was good, except the two tuna bowls we ordered. The avocado was not ripe and the rice was very hard. That was NOT good. The fish in the court was good and so were the greens. So if you don't care about avocado or rice, then order the meal. Jordan was our server and was great.

We wanted a fancy restaurant by the water to celebrate our friend on our bachelorette trip this weekend. We were told there would be a 30 minute wait, which isn?t bad for a Saturday night. Half an hour later we were notified that our table was ready and we were quickly seated. Our waitress was Abby and she did a fantastic job serving us and making sure we were comfortable our entire time there! I ordered the shrimp tacos and side of fries and both were extremely delicious! The waffles fries weren?t dry and had the perfect amount of seasoning. When Abby found out that we were on a bachelorette trip she brought out a brownie for all of us to share and said that it was on her! We were so surprised and felt so special that would do that for us! It definitely heightened our celebration! After we paid we asked Abby to take a picture of our group, and she went the extra mile and asked if we wanted to go outside to take a picture with the water. Best food! Best customer service!
