Susuru - Leuven

My friend and I got the classic (I got extra chashu), gyoza, and ramune matcha. The gyoza was soft and flavorful, I love the spring onion on top. Figuring out how to open the ramune bottle was quite fun. The ramen could be better. The broth was salty with not much depth. I had better broth from other ramen shops in Belgium. The chashu was pale and could have had more flavor. The eggs were soft boiled (nice) but also pale (not marinated in soy sauce and mirin). It's not a bad ramen, but it's not authentic and it's quite expensive for what you get. The staff was friendly though. We’ve tried Susuru tonight as we really wanted warm ramen in this cold weather. We felt immediately welcomed by the owner who prepared a table for us while we were keying our order on the digital machine. Very intuitive and you know what you get (portion, content, price). Once seated, we were fastly served. Food is very tasty. We were happy. Portion could be a bit bigger or think about taking a side dish if you are hungry. We will come back.
