Bidra med feedbackWaitress made us feel like we shouldn’t be there. Tried to tell us we can’t drink the tap water just so we spend more money. Maybe they should sort their water pipes out if that’s the case. They sent us the wrong drinks and she got annoyed when we told her they were wrong. Need to sort their attitudes out. RUDE.
Only came here for a couple of drinks. Suddenly the man on the bar asks for cash as my purchase is less than 10 euros. Have not used cash all week! No signs or anything. Reluctantly then accepted payment for just over 7 euros on my card. Just a real disappointment to come across someone really contrary amongst a really friendly team that is the les gets and Morzine experience.
Great location, with beautiful views all round (though the number of tables with those views is a little limited, you might want to book). Food was decent not\real Savoyard fare fairly well executed I had a good Savoyard escalope, the kid’s steak hache went down well, and the omelette was ok. Quite expensive, as you would expect at this location. Service was very patchy not sure if we had offended the waiter but everything arrived later than other tables, so it took quite a while, but fine in the end. To note, no drinkable water up here so you’ll have to buy anything you drink.
There were 8 of us for lunch and 2 of us arrived early to secure a table. No one was there to greet us . Lots of tables were free and therefore it seemed reasonable to us to put two tables together whilst doing this a waiter appeared and proceeded to shout and say you must not do this you should have waited for a waiter, have you booked?, are you eating and drinking ?etc etc I confirmed we were hoping to have lunch and a drink and there would be 8 of us and he said we must wait and he would check whether he had room for us when clearly he had as there appeared to be no reserved signs anywhere. He returned to say in rather an unfriendly way that it was ok and gave us some menus. Once the rest of the party arrived we all decided we would rather eat where we were welcome and subsequently left. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, there are far friendlier ones elsewhere who are pleased to feed 8 people and have a much better approach and attitude.
Whether its just a hot chocolate (with rum!!! or a bowl of their amazing French Onion soup, this place is always busy and never fails to please!! but do yourself a favour and get to via the Nauchets lifts and save yourself a nasty bit of poling!!
