Bidra med feedbackThe food was truly incredible. Marvellous experience. Exceptional presentation from beginning to end. Outstanding food and staff. Great knowledge and advice from the sommelier. We will come back!
Great food, select and refined, very much inspired by the summer bonanza of plants and fruit. Lots of locally sourced ingredients. The sommelier is a pro, very knowledgable and quite inspiring and entertaining. Be aware 'net price ' INDEED include VAT and service, something that is not too clear from the invoice.
We were shown to a table on the inner side of the terrace, even though we stressed that we wanted to sit on the terrace. we asked the waitress if we could have any of the 2-person tables all of which were available. She said she would ask and come back. As we we were waiting, a woman dressed in a dark trouser suit appeared at the entrance. our waitress started to ask the question and I was watching. The manager 's expression changed and she made a dismissive facial gesture showing the table at the very end of the first row, clearly saying 'put them there ', not realizing that I was watching the whole conversation. I was sure that we were going to be shown to the end table by the wall and sure enough when our waitress came she escorted us to that airless, warmest spot that nobody would be pleased to sit at. I told both of them that it was very rude , firstly the way she did it by tilting her head, being thrown into the worst table in the front row, just because we wanted to have a better table than the one we were allocated to. All the tables were free when we arrived, so seating in the restaurant was clearly a preferantial treatment. The food was good, service was too but treating clients like second class citizens is SIMPLY NOT ACCEPTABLE.
I have had a home in the region for 10 years and only discovered Relais des Moines at Christmas. I returned because i had enjoyed the meal then and wanted to try the restaurant in the summer on the terrace. The restaurant was extremely Covid cautious with tables spread apart and all staff wearing masks as well as guests as they arrived. We were greeted by a friendly and highly professional lady and throughout the evening the service was excellent... friendly, professional and helpful. One of my guests had quite restrictive dietary requirements but these were never an issue and nothing was a problem. The food was outstanding. Each course was beautifully presented and with rich, interesting and fresh seasonal flavours. The colours of the dishes were memorable and each course impressed. One important note is that many of the established, successful restaurants in the region have a tendency to overfeed the guests. it's almost a contest to see how much an individual can consume. Relais des Moines is not one of these restaurants. Their menu is quite narrw and offers two choices per course and there were 4 courses but frankly i could have eaten almost all of the choices and we left not stuffed but very satisfied. The Sommelier was also very helpful in selecting local Provencal wines from the region that were lovely. Overall i would certainly recommend the Relais Des Moines and would certainly rate it as one of the very best restaurants in the region.
This was my first visit to Le Relais, my Husband has dined here previously. My experience exceeded expectations. Our table was perfect, on the terrace overlooking the pool beautiful. We had the lunchtime taster menu with pairing wines. Every dish was just perfect, the flavours were exquisite, presentation was outstanding and the wines matched perfectly! The staff were very attentive and relaxed. Can’t wait to go back when we are back at our place in Lorgues.
