Bidra med feedbackI’ve just recently been to The Square and I’ve discovered that there is new management there, the new staff are extremely helpful and nice and the food is now delicious I would recommend this chip shop to my friends and family
I visited Leominster today and decided to try The Square for some fish and chips. The fish was cooked perfectly and the batter was delicious. The chips were also cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this place.
The staff is rude, the food is not great, and the chicken in the curry was pink. I will never go back again.
Beware of Blondie working there on a Sunday. I was charged a extra for something I have 2-3 times a week. Maybe she thought I wasn't local who knows. Maybe profits from people she thinks hasn't been before. Otherwise a great place. Never a problem with any other staff. Just don't go there on a Sunday if Blondie don't know you.
I completely agree with the previous review. This fish and chip shop used to offer great value with delicious food. The quality of the food has remained the same, but prices have increased and portion sizes have decreased within weeks of opening. Recently, I ordered a large cod for £4.95, which was surprising considering it was originally £3.70 and the size was more like a mini fish. I don't mind paying £5 as long as I feel like I am getting my money's worth. A small town fish and chip shop shouldn't have prices as high as those at a seaside coastal establishment. The drinks are also quite expensive, with a bottle of Lowes costing £2.50 when it's only 60 pence at Morrisons. I understand that they have expenses to cover and need to make a profit, but these prices seem outrageous for cheap brand drinks. They were charging the same amount for branded coke as well. The staff are friendly and approachable, but if they continue with these high prices and small portions, I doubt the shop will last very long. It just seems like they are being too greedy.
