Buds Diner - Lenoir

Update: Pulled into the parking lot and one of the staff was standing out front smoking. I don't like it, but hey, I can get over it. As I was parking he threw the cigarette down in front of the entrance, still smoking, and spit on the ground while looking right at me. Nope! Not me! I loved the chicken and it's still good, but that was nasty. This ain't the first time there either. I want to come back, please clean it up! 4/26/17 Just moved here and so glad I found this place. Good fried chicken and you can't beat the prices.

Bud's just isn't good anymore. It was a happenin' little breakfast diner. Sorry, I won't be back anytime soon. I hope their manager starts doing a better job. My husband ordered over- medium eggs. The waitress argued with him because he wanted the whites cooked all the way. Reasonable, huh? When they brought him a new plate the eggs were totally hard all the way through and the waitress and manager stood over him and taunted him while he took the first bites. Oh yeah, my husband won't be back. He was so embarrassed.

I was a regular, they have good food and the staff is friendly, but most of the staff, like this Lucy woman straight up harass other employees a lot of us regulars have noticed. These new girls will come in and they last but a few weeks, maybe a month because they'll chase them out by being nothing but bullies, and I've heard the manager won't even do anything about it. They think us customers can't hear what they all say but we hear everything. I will no longer be eating at this diner and I encourage others not to also. It's quite disturbing the way these senior waitresses treat these other girls.

Plenty of parking, designated handicapped spaces. Serving southern comfort food for reasonable price, although biscuits cost extra lunch and dinner. Food was hot, adequate, veggies tasted canned. Have been here before and it was much better. Staff quick and friendly. I would go back.

Been a breakfast customer a long time. Decided to have lunch Sunday. Our waitress was sweet and helpful, however management would not permit a simple substitution of green beans instead of french fries on our food order. I told the waitress I'd be willing to pay extra for the substitution but still not allowed. Oddly green beans is listed as a nenu side prepared daily. Needless to say we left without ordering.
