Eselsmühle - Leinfelden-Echterdingen

The Eselsmühle is always worth a visit. Beautiful location in the valley near Musberg at the end of a hike a good opportunity to come and drink a beer. The prices are a little high, so only 4 stars. Service and people very pleasant.

The son living in Exil Stuttgart led us here at the end of our joint tour around Tübingen. We gave him the new home. He had the top of a Stuttgart mate and scholarship holders from the study period in Ilmenau. Unfortunately we didn't know exactly the name and not exactly the place, so the arrival was a bit complicated in this bound suburban-Leinfelden daughter thing. Thanks to several mobile devices it was possible. At the end of a very small road we expected a place that had completely fallen from time to time. An old water mill with courtyard and various facilities, stables and barn. There is agriculture, a wooden bakery, there is a shop, a garden industry and the Millstube. All according to organic and demeter guidelines. The ambience is rustic relaxed, we could sit the heat on a terrace surrounded by greenery and drink a few apple choir for thirst. The pretty card had something for everyone who took the woman as a half vegetarian the Demeter herb with the wood stove bread of the house, the son had discovered on this trip Spätzle with sauce for himself and opavati decided for the delicious organic spring herbs with a pair of peasant sausages from the Swabia-Helilland pig. A beautiful Riesling Erlenbacher Kayberg from the Schäfer-Heinrich winery from Heilbronn. Everything from the culinary core of Germany, the paradise for connoisseurs. It was wonderful, tonight in the quiet valley, just minutes from many streets and the crazy professional traffic in the area. Definitely recommended, but probably hell continues on beautiful weekends. In September it was not too crowded in the week in the evening and we immediately got a nice table. The website is very interesting and offers more information until the day ticket. Have fun and good appetite.
