Very friendly pub. Chatty locals, friendly staff. Prices very reasonable. Dog friendly. Lovely walking countryside.

Went with my grandchildren for lunch the staff were friendly even when one grandchild was a bit fussy helped make her meal as she wanted it.

I honestly cannot recommend this pub highly enough when it comes to quality home cooked food (definitely no microwave meals here! Their vegetable lasagne is amazing but boy the Sunday Roasts are INCREDIBLE.. delicious, huge portions, unbeatable value for money at £8.25 and they offer a take away service too. The food is that good we even had our Christmas dinners from here, which we will 100% be doing again this Christmas. Lovely local pub that deserves our support.

Visited today for a three course Sunday dinner, lovely welcome, relaxing atmosphere. Food was fresh extremely tasty and very well presented. The Sunday dinner was full of stars not one item on the plate failed to impress. Roast potatoes to die for, vegetables so tasty and fresh, roast beef was absolutely melt in the mouth and as for the Yorkshire pudding WOW. On the whole this meal made the commercial pubs look like 3rd class amateurs. Will definately return and I strongly advise others to give it a go. Well done to the team today at the Railway.
