Bidra med feedbackLovely little gem, just home made like Punjabi food. It was even better 10 years ago when the owner lovely elderly Sikh gentleman was serving the counter. Their chole bhature is to die for, and so is palaak paneer and ghobi paratha. Good value for money too.
I am a regular there and go there very very often with friends for dinner. No fancy stuff but just like home made punjabi food, very friendly owner and cook. Had one more tasty thali tonight. Highly recommended!
Amazing vegetarian Indian cafe. The menu boasts traditional Indian, Mexican and Italian food. All freshly made and tweaked just how you like it. The food is delicious and staff and owner are very friendly and welcoming. The cafe is clean and intimate with several tables in a light bright shop. It's always a treat coming here and would recommend to anyway. The place is a mix of all walks of life.
My family has been going to Star Vashnu Dhaba in Leicester for a number of years. While the food is consistently delicious, the service is lacking. The staff is incredibly slow, often forgetting to take our orders. On our most recent visit, our order was never even taken and we eventually had to leave due to the long wait. It's a shame because the restaurant has potential to be great if they could improve their service. At times, the staff can be rude and short-tempered as well.
Yesterday evening, we decided to stop by a restaurant during a short visit to Leicester. We used to dine here years ago and always enjoyed the experience. Even though they were getting ready to close, the staff graciously agreed to prepare a dish from the Indian mains menu for us, which is exactly what I was craving. The curries were served with rice and chapatties, were incredibly tasty, and cost less than ten pounds. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant the next time I am in Leicester.
