Bidra med feedbackI have been to most so called best Indian restaurants in Leicester and still none have compared to Himalayas on quality of food and secondly value for money mid priced and very generous amounts of food . Hidden away but well known and has been around a very long time. Forget the rest and try it !
A Great Evening with Family, Raksha Bandhan Dinner for my Sister. Always receive a Warm Welcome whenever I visit ... Looking forward to the next visit..
Ordered a takeaway last night we got the meal home and surprise, surprise order was not complete again....to make things worse we went to eat our curry and I found hairs human hair in it. That ended the meal. Be aware and check things before you leave. Customer Service...well there isn't any.at all.
I have given 1 as you have to give 1 at least to write a review, otherwise it would be 0 The worst services I have ever received. Our table was booked for 8pm. When we arrived, our table was not available. We waited, for a member of staff to greet us , not one person acknowledged us standing there. After a few minutes , my partner stopped a staff member to ask about our table. She said she didn't deal with bookings, a man eventually asked us to wait in the bar. Which was freezing cold. 10 minutes later he called us in showed to a table but another family took our seats. We were left standing in the middle of the restaurant and waiter who told us to sit there said I have given them the table now. Leaving us waiting in the middle of the restaurant. We noticed another table leaving and waited for them clear the table, which no one was making any attempt to clear after standing for 5 mins and asking staff twice to clear the table , did we get to sit down. The waiter was rude abrupt, and instead concentrating us, while taking our order, he kept walking off to talk to other people. Ordering drinks was just as painful, when we finally ordered the food , we had to ask him three times to confirm our order and to ensure the Gulten free meal was written down as he walked off twice while taking the order. Food while it tasted okay, the large meat sizzler had only one mutton chop and rest was just chicken, while the seafood mix had one prawn, one peice of fish and the rest was chicken. We did speak to the manager when he appeared, he was just as useless, stated there was nothing wrong with food or the service. I would not recommend this restaurant, to anyone. A miserable experience, which spoilt our family meal out with relatives.
Travelling from Canada. We were there for an evening of food and drinks. May be Drinks and food more appropriate ! Entrance and the walls had likeable artifacts. Nice touch for the ambiance. Beer Glasses were filled full to the Brim and so was the excellent mixed platter of Tandoori food. Plentiful indeed. Unlike Beers, street parking is never plentiful in Leicester but Himalaya had a guests parking of its own. To me that is an extra star. Thanks for an enjoyable evening Deeva. Hope that is a correct spelling.
