Bidra med feedbackReally cute place, great little gift selection, awesome brisket burger on a delicious jalapeno cheese bun. Good wine selection too ????
Finally got a chance to hit this restaurant/market. Food was very good. I got the BLT with the marinated Cole slaw. It was on toasted and buttered sourdough. Very unique place, feels like a smaller but better Cracker barrel with it's market side. They have a small indoor area and an outdoor area. Will definitely be going back.
We came to Roots after visiting the charming antique shop Lucketts (highlyyy recommend) down the road after being told it was a must stop by a local! And she was definitely right! What?s fun is that Roots is a kitchen/ food store as well as restaurant. It feels very pioneer-ish, and almost farmy and the perfect place to take your family to eat. They had what I?d call a refreshing menu- soups, salads, sandwiches and a few other things. Light items. My cobb salad was just
We came to Roots after visiting the charming antique shop Lucketts (high recommendation) on the street after it was said that it was a must stop from a local! And she was definitely right! What is fun, is that Roots is a kitchen/food business as well as restaurant. It feels very groundbreaking, and almost courty and the perfect place to eat your family. They had what I would call a refreshing menu soup, salads, sandwiches and a few other things. Lights. My Cobb salad was just fantastic, and surprisingly so big I couldn't finish it. The fried chicken with which it came was simply perfectly cooked to be with a salad, and overall I was so impressed. A few funny drinks and foods were also purchased during the visit (Roops). They had a pretty good selection of wine and a few other alcohols, as well as things like handmade pasta, pancake mixtures, popcorn kernels and so much more. Roots is easy to miss when you pass, but keep an eye for the big red barn and don't think twice!
We came to the Roots 657 Cafe after a hike in the nearby Sugarloaf Mountain, before going to Vanish brewery, which is just on the street. We read that Vanish did not serve food on weekdays and that Roots had made BBQ on site, so our decision was not difficult to visit. What we found out was this country house from Route 15 packed a big blow! There were many locally produced goods, including a large wine department with additional coolers for wine, beer, apple wine and even mead. But we quickly made our way to the restaurant menu with a goal for BBQ. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and my Gf got the brisket, they contained one side and water for $13 (Pork) or $15 (cratt). There are limited seats inside, so we made our way to the outdoor terrace. It's pretty big, but because we were the only males at the time we picked a table almost in the back field. Remember to go your (mild, spicy or vinegar-based sauce) before you go. We sat with generous portions of meat on warm toast jalapeno-Cheddar dogs and while they forget our rashes, the creamy Mac cheese with a double part of the frits that definitely made for them. The meat had a big smoke taste without overpower and you add your own sauce for the right amount of zing. When we finish our meal, we have a big surprise as we saw an albino peacock at the neighboring farm to say goodbye. So if you have a BBQ desire, you need a quality meal or just want to buy some locally produced goods, make sure Roots 657 Cafe is on your list.
