Whistle Stop Coffee Mercantile

Great shop. Every drink I’ve had has come out great, even just some espresso. It would be very beneficial if outlets were added to the booth seats. The smaller tables with outlets are a little lass than ideal for those who need to spread out a bit when working.

This is a great stop for coffee, sweet or savory baked goods, and breakfast or lunch. Potato bacon soup was their soup of the day when I went and it was delicious.

Absolutely the worst coffee I have ever tasted. Having sampled coffee all over the KC metro and the world, from Paris to Bogota, I can say this is worse that Folgers. The drinks were so syrupy that the flavors didn’t blend. They tasted chemically and took nearly 45 min to get five coffees with three baristas working. They weren’t busy at all. While the atmosphere and food are amazing, this place needs to do some serious examining of their online order system. I thought it was probably just a mistake or one-off situation, but this is now my 3rd visit this summer where my food ticket was either lost or not printed, causing me to wait an additional 20—30 minutes when I arrive while the food is completed.
