Bidra med feedbackWe stayed at Ramada Leeds East and arrived late in the evening, so we decided to grab a quick bite to eat at Chopstix, a restaurant at the nearby services. We ordered caramelized chicken with noodles, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, salt and pepper chicken, and salt and pepper wedges. We reviewed our meal on our YouTube channel called Tracy Colin the Food Huggers. Check it out to see how we rated our experience.
I have ordered takeaway from this restaurant twice before and it was excellent both times. However, this most recent experience was a great disappointment. The food arrived cold and the portions were very small. For £26.00 for two people, I expected more. There was too much rice and noodles, not enough meat, especially in the chicken dishes. The salt and pepper dishes and the grilled dishes had very little flavor. While the taste was not terrible, it felt like they were cutting corners. I tried to call to complain but they did not answer the phone. If you want to dine here, be prepared for small portions and mediocre food.
The egg noodles with BBQ chicken at this restaurant are out of this world! I can't get enough of this place. I would recommend it to anyone who is hungry at any time.
Well located cafe unit style restaurant, vary greatly inside. eating looks like it is massif produced (off site) Chinese style food (many sugar msg) and served either nudel, rice, chips. it is nothing wrong with the food, but subtle it is...not, its 5.00 for a regular part or 7.00 for a bigger part. which is similar to a local chip shop. it is a no destination, it is an example for food excellence no, but a good lunchtime food. it's just cash. if they are worth a try.
Every so often you chance across a place to eat that blows out of the water any modest expectations you had. Such was the case with the excessively modest looking “Noodle House” on Merrions street (right opposite Manahatta). From the outside it looks like another...slightly iffy place poised to take late night revellers cash in exchange for dubious quality calories. How wrong I was. Step inside and you see that the Chinese student and professional population of Leeds have already found this place.... its busy! Food is excellent, prices very reasonable, service fast!! Few practical points, the menu offers roasties....these are actual roast meats (char sui, duck etc not roast potatoes). The portions are good. The soups look amazinf, but we had 3 roastie meats with rice and a soicey Malaysian noodle dish. Thank me after you have tried it!
