Bidra med feedbackMy visit to this restaurant was not great as many items were not available on the menu. The portions for both the starter and main course were small. I ordered the mushrooms and crayfish pasta, which only came with 4 ravioli as the main course. My friend ordered a piece of salmon for £19.50, which only included the salmon and cost an additional £4 for potatoes.
Cakes look lovely, and the sales patter is the best; you also get little samples, of selected items, and it 's very tempting to buy more than you planned. Take care; the sampled almond biscuits were indeed lovely, everything else was very disappointing. My partner threw most of his doughnut away, the pistachio/chocolate 'cannelloni ' was tasteless. Not cheap either; we wished we 'd given our custom to one of the other stalls.
We came expecting an expensive but good quality breakfast but got an expensive **** one instead. Two sad toasties with no side (not even some sad leaf), made out of cheap super market bread with tasteless cheap supermarket cheese and ham. As it went colder it became chewier. Hot chocolate was pretty tasteless as well. Kind waitress but we are certainly not coming again. I’m still hungry and unhappy!
I visited a cake stall in Otley where the cakes looked very appealing, despite the lack of prices displayed. I purchased a small frangipani tart, a puff pastry with pistachio filling, and a small pink strawberry cheesecake. The total came to £13.60, which surprised me. I hoped that the cakes would be exceptional, but unfortunately, they were quite disappointing. The frangipani tart was average, the puff pastry had an unpleasant bitter filling, and the cheesecake was thick and heavy with a soggy biscuit base. Overall, I found the quality of the cakes to be far below their high cost. I would not recommend this place at all.
This place, once popular locally, has been going downhill for years, and has now closed. Hard to believe that a once thriving business could have been ruined in the way it was. The closure was entirely expected.
