Shanghai Garden Restaurant - Leduc

Pretty good food. The best Chinese restaurant in Leduc. Well cleaned. The buffet was fantastic.

I ordered 4 egg rolls for my family along with some homemade Asian dishes that we prepared at home. The egg rolls were slightly larger than my thumb and cost $10 for a set of 4. Unfortunately, they were not homemade but instead the frozen kind you can find in a box. I usually try to support small businesses, but this was disappointing. Perhaps it was just bad luck, but I won't be returning to this restaurant.

The food was not ready when we arrived for pick up, and we had to wait. The dishes were different but lacked flavor. I will not be ordering from Shanghai again.

One night in Leduc when I missed my flight. From my hotel, BW Plus went to the street to see what the options were for food. The Shanghai was open and had a buffet, so I thought I would try.... The food was pale and fat. I tried to have a little different dishes, but I couldn't find anything good. And I couldn't eat much of what defeats the purpose of going to the buffet. No one came by to see if I wanted to drink something (I really wanted a beer.... .. The pub at the hotel would undoubtedly have been a wiser choice. Next time...

The food at this restaurant was terrible - it tasted reheated, bland, and even included cheap canned fruit and jello for dessert. To make matters worse, the cook used the restroom without washing his hands while my husband was in there. The waitress was extremely unprofessional, neglecting to check on our table or offer us drinks. The restaurant was practically empty, yet she made no effort to clear dirty dishes from our table. Additionally, it was concerning to see the staff mixing fresh food with leftovers from lunch service, suggesting a lack of proper food handling practices. This whole experience reminded me of a disaster episode of a cooking show. I will never return and strongly believe that this place should be shut down to prevent others from having a similar experience.
