Le Barbacane - Lectoure

I went tonight, 23rd. 2019, from this restaurant and saw a sign on the window that announced that the restaurant is finally closed from 13 October 2019. all furniture is also away in the restaurant. I post photos of the...sign and the empty restaurant.

We often stay in the opposite and visit le barbacane three times or four times a year. it never disappoints. the fact that it is only a main dish daily, plus a vegetarian alternative, is a plus. the chef chooses what looks good, and does not fall into...a formula. the taste combinations can be unusual, but have worked every time successfully when we have eaten there.

We had dinner in la barbacane on Saturday evening in august. eating was stunning tasty and inventive, good wine and the service excellent. so many delicious dishes, but above all enjoyed the Tempura-Pilz (like my son to my surprise) and the sea-bream....High recommend this restaurant.

Our party of four enjoyed a delicious three course menu with wine at Le Barbacane. Knowledgable and sensitive service ensured our food and drink matched in excellent fashion. We all thought the atmosphere in the restaurant was friendly and romantic and a real step up...from other local eateries. As suspected, the staff confirmed the food on the menu is all sourced locally, and responsive to seasonal trends and availability. Overall, absolutely delicious and in great surroundings. Can't recommend highly enough! If you're anywhere within the vicinity this place is a must visit!

A family run business who were extremely welcoming and passionate about their food. This is a cafe style restaurant that serves wine, beers and gin! It also has a lovely private terrace. I particularly like that they have read the feedback, from the very unfair...average reviews, and have implemented these changes. We will definitely visit again when back in lectoure!
