Bidra med feedbackBeautiful location, but food is nothing special, only the mainstream tea can be found in every hut in the Austrian Alps.
Last week visited while you went back from the lake to Lech and stopped for drinks and strudel. Perfectly located right below the pass with the most beautiful views of snow-covered mountains. Food and service perfect!
Buses run from Lech to two mountain lakes in the southwest. On the day after the visit of Formarinsee and Freiburger Hütte I took a bus to the other lake, Spullersee, and went to Ravensburger Hütte and finally back to Lech. Like the other Almhütten, Ravensburger offers accommodation as well as food. I sat outside for lunch, for comparison with a similar meal as at the Freiburger Hütte. So I drank 0.5 L orange in fizzy water and ate sausages with a swamp of mustard, crushed horse radishes and bread, finished with a coffee. This cost me €13.70, a little less than the meal at Freiburger Hütte. However, both meals were very good. Ravensburger Hütte had the additional attraction for me from a herd of alpine coughs that appear overhead while I was there.
We came in the frame of a multi-day tour to the ravensburg hütte and felt comfortable here. Of course, everything is easier than in the village, but for a hut it is really good.
If one places the standards of an alpenvereinshütte, then the ravensburger hütte is luxurious. compared with a pension in lick, of course, it remains very simple. we came from a multi-day hut hike and found the luxurious: small clean warehouse (room;) warm showers (1euro,) warm water to the sink. The ambiente in the economy is rustic, the eating is good for a mountain hut, not overwhelming.
