Winstead's - Leawood

A must if in KC. Up there and the skyscrapers still enjoy!

Tops with me. I've been with Winsteads for years. At a time or other, I enjoyed my usual double with everything and frits at most of their locations. Despite the wave of competition from new burger pitches, Winsteads is still tops with me.

Winstead wasn't done long, thought I would try. If you are unfamiliar, these are thin plasters, so are double burgers, which I think is a normal size. Burger was good, the 50-50 (halfberries, half onion rings) were good, the chocolate shake was good. Three double burgers three sides and three small chocolate shakes hands around $40 with lace.

I have to share an incident that happened today after I left the Winsteads drive thru. I ordered two medium chocolate shakes with real bananas and when I got home and went to eat them for dessert realized that they were only banana-flavored. I contacted the store and spoke to the manager Connor. He was so professional and courteous. He immediately offered to remake the shakes and make sure that they would be a larger size than what I originally ordered. I was very impressed with the way he handled the experience and definitely had that want to please the customer and make things right mentality. it will be that reason as well as their delicious fries shakes that will bring me back again! I get their burgers every time I go there. Enjoy it every time. Fries and onion rings are good, too. We miss the Winstead's location in our city, but were in south KC with our grandson and ate at this one. The burgers, salads, and drinks are exactly as remembered. They were tasty and well prepared. There simply were not enough waitstaff on duty to take care of the lunch rush, so service was slow.
