RA Sushi Bar Restaurant - Leawood

I had a reservation for restaurantweek. when I was there for my reservation time, I was told that the waiting period was 20 minutes and that my reservation did not play any role. we never got a restaurant weekly menu and the waitress was not sure what we were talking about. it took 2 hours to go in the door. we had to sit on the bar because a table was never available. terrible experience.

Matt was our waiter and he really took care of us. the high tops do not really have a tonn space for long sushi plates. vegas roll was the best we had. I like that they had a Saturday happy hour and that it ran until 7! I've never been here. great service- no doubt - but I had better sushi.

The service was ok. it was busy with restaurant. I understand! but also it wasn't super busy, poor server was either alone or got no help. she was so stressed and. never around. but it was not eating. all sauces tasted overwhelming vinegary. all like ketchup. it was so strange. dive sauce, katsu and chili sauce. big! each roll with tempura was soggy and sad. all the rolls were muddy and sad. nothing came together, all one at a time. this time it was broken. it was just not as great as I know it can be! but I know it can be better than that. Restaurant Week stress I think. the food has been getting good, but so lame. could find better elsewhere. they won't make me dirty next time.

Eating is okay. the restaurant is a typical Asian fusion sushi restaurant.

It was our anniversary dinner, we did not realize what we were walking into. The establishment definitely needs a good cleaning. Our table rocked a lot, to the point our drinks could fall. I specified what our occasion was . We got one glass of water and when that was consumed, there was no more water offered. Our food was cold . My order was incorrect so my wife tried to start eating without me except her food was cold and very poor quality. All servers seemed to be at a social hour as opposed to being there to serve customers. Worst experience ever. Needless to say we had to find another restaurant to have our dinner as we didn’t get to eat after an hour and a half of waiting.
