Bidra med feedbackCheaply placed restaurant. the menu was typical of an Indian restaurant. although the restaurant was almost full, the waiting staff took our order quickly and the food came from the kitchen in a reasonable time. one of the appetizers was a wobblebhaji, but that seemed to be a swashing paste, deep fried. not what you usually think as bhaji. the most important courses were warm, instead of hot, and since no food warmers were provided, the dishes quickly cooled down. the most important courses were a little disappointing. the aromen were not particularly strong and were hardly hurried (although this can be for a French palette). the dessert of Indian sweets was excellent and very authentic. I hoped the restaurant would be great and we could enjoy returning. Unfortunately, eating was average and we are unlikely to pay a second visit.
We visited the 24 hours you man wash, when the restaurant ran a special/reduced menu. managed, a table fast to get and service was in order. mushroom rice was good and generous portion and the garlic naan tasty. However, chicken Madras was not a madras (no real heat, but the dish was still delicious. the greatest disappointment were the poppadoms that were all burned (picked as if they had grilled them, and the chutneys were very modest. also quite expensive, but that was exactly the same as it was 24 hours weekning premium.
My partner, father and I visited, having struggled to find anyway with tables free on the Saturday evening of the Le Mans Classic weekend. We weren't expecting a great deal but just wanted something to eat, anything! How pleasantly surprised we were when the food...turned out to be delicious. Such a pleasure. We will be going again next year when we're back for the main race!
After two weeks of meat, cheese and general rich french and Spanish food we could kill for a good bit of spice. Bombay delivered a great meal that lived up to high British expectations of what makes a good ruby (curry). The curry was not...oily and tasted homemade, with each dish being very different and not seeming like its come out of the same curry base sauce pot. The naans and poppadoms were also really tasty.
First time I was eating in an Indian restaurant. very good reception, charming and pleasant waitresses but a little vet. hearty meals with lots of flavors. Just a small flat is that the nan (Indian bread) is paid. I recommend it even if it doesn't pay a mine.
