Bidra med feedbackI was staying at the hotel for a few nights and had heard (even from the taxi driver) that the restaurant there is really very good. Wow, what an understatement, it was an absolute treat. This was not just a meal, it was a culinary experience of note. 7 or 8 different dishes each wonderfully prepared and presented with the most incredible textures and flavors. Even the espresso at the end of the meal was probably the best I've had. The setting, atmosphere and service are also great, and complements the food experience perfectly. Thank you to the chef, sommelier and waitress for an amazing evening.
Lucky....Booked a table here only a few days before due to a mishap... Because Marc Veyrat's wife decided she could not host us a few hours after her husband had accepted! Now we know who is the boss over there... Well, the switch to Jean-Pierre Jacob's table was an excellent alternative. Great wine list ( found a fabulous Côte du Rhône, Hermanium by Xavier Combe), very good service (not pushy) and wonderful menu, from start to deserts.
We were staying at the Hotel Ombremont and had a wonderful meal at the Hotel Restaurant- a superb menu degustation
The dining room has incredible views so reserve a table near the window. This is very high quality dining, not cheap, but everything is exquisitely presented and tastes fantastic
I've eaten at many restaurants with bad food and a good view. And had much nice food in a well-carpeted basement. This place is the real deal. It is informal but with impeccable service (didn't feel at all out of place wearing jeans and trainers). The food is incredible value (I hate saying this, I'm sure they will put the prices up soon). Each course wowed - we had the Verlaine menu, which was plenty of food for €90. And the view? Look at the pics below. Idyllic. Service was fantastic, friendly but polished. This is up there with Akelare as my top 2 meals (and above Can Roca, which was of course fantastic).
