Rathausstuberl Laxenburg

The restaurant ON SUNDAYS works only 4 hours from 11 till 3 p.m. But already before 2 pm they have nothing to eat!!!!!. Before 2 p.m. the menu is hidden as they can not offer anything. It is simply open for one more hour but they don 't accept any orders. That was a shock for us to hear at 13.45 we have nothing to eat but the restaurant remained open still for 1 hour 15 minutes. Instead we do recommend LAXENBURGER HOF REASTAURANT, 60 metres away, open from the morning till 8 p.m., serving delicious dishes, with better prices. There are lots of people here, while families with dogs.

Good lunch menu for very reasonable prices. Daily two dishes to choose from. You should check the daily menu first, but at least 3 out of 5 days a week it is a good option to go to Rathausstüberl.

The food and the service were great, but we really didnt understand why the given menu was different than the one on their website. So we thought that the offer is quite limited. Just after some of us have already ordered the server told us that they also have different meals/different meat selection that wasnt written in the menu. But still everything we ordered looked and tasted great. Worth the visit :

This small restaurant is the best of the (admittedly few) restaurants in Laxenburg. Its location is perfect: in the town hall, on the plaza, directly in front of the castle. The food is good, portions are large, and prices are modest. The menu is Austrian, with occasional international dishes. Try the Risotto with porcini mushrooms (Steinpilzen) when offered. It is excellent.
