The Java Break - Lawrence

I know it 's just that I 'm having a really bad day, But I just visited java break and had a bummer experience. I feel cheated even though it was a mistake. I didn 't know they had two different cold brew options. I always order a cold brew, but this time the barista gave me the other cold brew. I noticed that and I asked him Is there another cold brew? He said yes and explained the differences. I told him I meant to order thother one..would it be possible to remake it? He told me that that he already made it and it would be a waste if he remade it. So I said Oh, okay and left. I 'm just really bummed by this experience. I wish he has told me there were two cold brews and asked me which one I wanted. We both made a mistake,I made the mistake of not clarifying which on I wanted, and he made the mistake of making the drinks without clarifying what Iwanted. I was happy if he even remade just one of the drinks. I feel like that 's fair because we 're equally responsible. But instead I felt shamed for asking. I know on any other day I would be able to shake it off, but I was trying to treat myself today and I hate the way the other one tastes. These drinks are outside of my regular budget and only for special occasion if I need to distress. Now I 've lost $14 with nothing to drink. At least my boyfriend will enjoy them, but I 'm just really disappointed and hope they ask to clarify next time.

They make a few good drinks, their smoothies are good so are the scones. Staff just seem annoyed that I'm even there

I love this place, I moved to Lawrence in 2016 and have since left, but every time I’m in town I come here for a mocha chai with their mocha whip. This place is amazing

What a great place! To begin with, visually unique coffee shop. 4 different rooms with different themes, amazing coffee and wait for it: HOMEMADE ALMOND AND OAT MILK. highly reccomend this coffee shop, great service and great vibe.
