Huhot Mongolian Grill - Lawrence

So... so... so good! never had such a thing! can not wait to come back! definitely our list of favorite date places at night!

EDIT TO ADD: Rick, the general manager contacted me same day and was amazing! Come to find out, Noah was brand new that day so, I understand the issue with the service. Waiting tables is hard work anyway and it’s especially hard when it’s you first day and you don’t know the policy. Rick also reimbursed my meal and apologized. In short, They were quick to reach out and rectify the problem, which I am very grateful for and impressed. My faith in HuHot is restored and I will remain a faithful patron! Normally we have a very good experience, today… not so much! Had the WORST server I think I’ve ever had “Noah B”, or at least in the bottom 3. He did not visit our table 1 time until he brought the check, no refills. Then, I asked for a box. . . I had been through the line 1 time, had eaten about 5 bites when my stomach revolted (not because the food wasn’t good, I have a stomach issue that causes me to occasionally not be able to eat, unfortunately I don’t know it’s going to happen until I try to eat) I explained this to the server and he still would not let me have a box. So 1 whole meal wasted. It took him 8 minutes to make change for our bill, and then he shorted us $3. The cook was very polite and cooked our meal well. I don’t know if or when we will return to the Lawrence, KS HuHot, but it wont be anytime soon. Do better!

We have come to this location many times but never left a review. We came in today for dine in to use a BOGO deal from the app. There was a system issue so we couldn’t use the app but Adhar M spoke to the manager for us and was able to honor the deal anyways. Thank you! We travel 40 minutes from the KC area to visit this huhot because they have always been good to us.

Loved this unique buffet. Its like hibachi style where you need to choose raw food and then they will stir fry it. They have lots of different kinds of sauce which you can add. You can check their sauce recipes. However, I really missed shrimp and egg there, I felt that these two items are esential for this stir-fry. I hope they will add those someday. Sitting places are really comfortable.

The all-you-can-eat buffet has a large selection of meats, vegetables, noodles, and sauces. Each time you can return to try a new mixture. My son went for spicy Burn down the village . I liked garlic and ginger sauces. Everyone was friendly. The buffet was stocked and clean.
