Encore Cafe - Lawrence

I've eaten here since they opened. Food is consistently amazing. It's seems they've had some turnover with servers and bartenders. The young man who has been behind bar last couple times is not friendly. I don't need a sigh and an argument when I need a new tea glass cause one you gave me has lip goo on it. He never smiles and acts like anything you request, (Utensils, napkins, etc) is a huge inconvenience for him. He is not a front of house employee. Encore has been a staple in my life for a long time and will continue to be, but I can't imagine how many people are put off by this guy and they don't come back. Encore deserves better.

I’ve been wanting to go here due to how beautiful the window looked with its plants and statues. The interior design is stunning and our food didn’t take long at all. The presentation and taste of the passion fruit green tea as well as the general TAO’s chicken with fried rice was great! Our server was sweet and I even got an adorable, reusable, to go cup for my drink. Will one of my favorite Asian restaurants in Lawrence so far. Definitely plan to go again and hopefully try the option of adding popping pearls in my tea!

I really enjoyed the Chinese menu. My date went for the fresh wrap and both were top notch. Fresh and fast, great seats for the Zombie Walk. The music was pleasant and at a good volume. Don't miss this one for fresh food.

My sister took us here for lunch. We just got in Lawrence from NC. This place right here was so good in all categories. Would recommend this place to everyone.

The food here was wonderful. The restaurant was beautifully appointed and very clean. The only hitch in our evening was that the service wasn't good, especially given that we ate there on a Monday night. Our server spilled sauce on the table and didn't clean it up. They also spent more time chatting with coworkers than helping their tables. A drink I ordered came after I finished my dinner. I'll still return, but will certainly request a different server.
