Bidra med feedbackWe were a party of six and having just visited the Museum of Fine Arts in the city centre we were looking for a restaurant for lunch. Bearing in mind it was 2 pm on a Saturday this might have been a problem. We crossed the square and the first eating place we saw was full. However, Le Bruxelles Cafe next door had a manager who knew how to welcome guests. He quickly grouped some tables together and we were seated perusing menus with an attentive waitress ready to help. Our drinks were served in really nice glasses and lunches followed without much delay. My beef Carbonade was delicious, stewed steak in an ale gravy, served with chips and freshly baked bread. The others in the party thoroughly enjoyed their meals of either chicken wraps or hamburgers as well.
If you go you have to order the Mitralleuse sandwich. Huge and delicious. The beer selection is very good and the service is fast and attentive.
Servers always so friendly and excellent tapas. The terrace is pleasant but small. The interior is pretty and all in wood. However, it is a shame that the excessive price of the beers is under the guise that these are beers that cannot be found elsewhere... whereas most of them can be found at the coop.
I had a great time. Top service and excellent meal.
Place offers number of different beers and you can always try something new - really like it! Food is good, nice burgers and mitraillette, like their tapas choice (tho it could be a bit bigger) and moules were very nice!i like the atmosphere and the tables are spacious enough, which is good! Although sometimes in the evenings it is too crowded and you have to wait if you haven't reserved a table in advance.
